Colorado Optometry is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Fort Collins, CO

Colorado Optometry is seeking a team member who shares our goal of exceptional patient care. We are a small (but busy) private practice with one Doctor.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly associate with a passion for customer service. You need to carry yourself professionally while connecting comfortably with each of our patients. You must be very comfortable on the computer to learn new software.

Responsibilities:

Thorough chart preparation includes entering patient medical history, allergies, and medications into our electronic medical records system.

Perform routine and diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, visual field testing, retinal imaging, auto refractor, topography, intraocular pressure, pachymetry, OCT imaging, and IPL procedure.

Administer eye drops and other medications as directed by the optometrist.

Maintain and sanitize exam rooms and equipment.

Maintain patient flow to keep our schedule on time.

Educate patients on the insertion, removal, cleaning, care, and proper handling of contact lenses.

Assists in glasses adjustments and dispense patient’s new glasses to them when needed.

Answer phone calls and correspondence with patients as needed.

Set up patient appointments.

Understanding medical and vision insurance.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsible for opening the office for our first patient to arrive.

Experience:

Previous optometry experience is extremely beneficial but is not required. We are willing to train a team member that does not have optometry experience, but has the following qualifications:

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Efficient, organized, and detail oriented.

Strong ability to manage time.

This position offers competitive pay based on experience. We also offer bonus opportunities. Weekly hours will be between 34-40 hours a week and some Saturdays (9am to 3pm) may be required. This position requires periods of standing and moving around the office.
